Environmental concerns in transportation refer to cases when a transportation company or a chain supplier treats environmental protection in a certain way. The incessant production of greenhouse gases has caused global warming. Transporting humans and goods is a major reason for producing these gases. Old gas-guzzlers that run on fossil fuels have considerably contributed to global warming.

OTP is committed to safeguarding the Earth and minimizing its contribution to pollution. To this end, OTP has formulated and enforced the ‘Green Transport Plan’. According to this plan, all OTP logistics and transportation services are provided using the company’s facilities and the latest technologies and innovations in order to inflict minimum impact on the environment. This plan is especially aimed at boosting transportation efficiency and mitigating detrimental effects on the environment, and, at the same time, taking the clients’ interests into consideration.

Regarding logistics, Green Transport Plan resolves to reduce the number of pollutants. Using environment-friendly Euro 5 and Euro 6 and hybrid or fully electric vehicles will definitely limit pollution. Route optimization, including the selection of a proper way to reduce transportation time and fuel consumption, will also reduce CO₂ considerably.
